I was just reminded of this ad again today when my father sent it to me. It took 606 takes. I’m so amazed by the patience and persistence of the team of people doing it. This picture shows the part of the video right before my favorite section. I love how it builds up to this moment and then the sound comes on and WHOOSH! The ad seems like a whole other world to me then. Hope you enjoy it also.

I have to give it up to Q for posting this link today. I have long thought these photo touched images are somewhat detrimental to the mental health of our society — this OpEd piece on the NY Times web site was a nice little reminder of it. I’m really amazing by the part when they talk about taking 4 images with different models and making up new model that was a composite of them. Wow.

Because I want all these cool photos to rotate in the cool iris widget on the right, I am creating a series of entries that are index to the original article which contain the photos from the Chronicles of GlitterGirl from 2006. It’s inspiring enough to want to make me do another series of the comic book.

My good friend Jason has lots of I.D.E.A.s he shares through his work at the Institute for the Development of Evolutionary Awareness.
